The First Congregational Church in Billerica provides adult-supervised child care for infants and toddlers during the church services year-round, from 10 to 11:15 a.m. Children are also welcome in the regular worship services, including partaking in Communion if parents desire it.
Classes for ages 3 through 8th grade are held at the same time as the church services, during the school year. Most Sundays the children spend the first part of the service with the adults, participating in a special Children’s service offered by the Pastor. Afterward, they go to their classes in our Sunday School area downstairs. Classrooms are organized by grade.
The curriculum is age appropriate and is focused on fun and creative projects while learning Bible lessons. The children also participate in Ingathering Sunday, the Epiphany Pageant, the Palm Sunday Parade, the Easter Flowering-of-the-Cross, and Children’s Sunday.
Our facility also has a chapel which can be used for special children’s programs and helps us prepare children for full participation in the service when they are ready.

For infants and toddlers, we have a professional childcare provider available in the nursery from 9 to 11 am on Sunday mornings. Parents are welcome to stay in the nursery with their children or drop them with the provider.
This service is also available for families visiting for baptisms or other activities.

Pilgrim Fellowship

Our youth program is called the Pilgrim Fellowship (PF) and includes young people from high school. Grades 6-12 are in PF and meet on Sunday evenings during the school year and focuses on offering opportunity for fellowship, service – and FUN!
